About us
Region Sörmland is one of the largest employers in the county with approximately 10,000 employees. The economy department is tasked with delivering good services to the region's operations and the residents of Sörmland. The economy department owns, operates, coordinates, develops, manages, and anchors the region's overarching economic processes and financial tools.
The position is organized within the unit for management support in healthcare, which is responsible for controller support within the healthcare sector and consists of 16 colleagues distributed across three locations in the county.
The place of employment is Nyköping or Eskilstuna, with the possibility to work from home to some extent. You will collaborate with others within the economy department, operational managers, unit managers, and other staff functions. Travel during working hours may occur.
Your tasks
As a controller, you will work as support in financial matters for a handful of operations with the task of supporting the operations in the planning and monitoring process. Your tasks include:
- Supporting the operation in the development of operational plans and budgets.
- Supporting the operation with result monitoring and forecasting.
- Ensuring that the budget and forecast are administered in the relevant systems.
- Ensuring that the financial results are quality assured, fair, and correct.
- Supporting the operation in calculations and participating in the development of pricing models.
- Supporting the operation in the investment process.
- Conducting analyses and benchmarking to measure efficiency and productivity in the operation.
- Supporting the operation in various forms of production and capacity planning.
- Responsible for and conducting training in the financial area.
As a controller, you will be offered a stimulating job where financial work is combined with development assignments and collaboration with both managers and colleagues. You have expert knowledge in the financial area and use it to support operations within Region Sörmland. In addition, you contribute to the continuous improvement of the region's internal routines and processes.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in finance or equivalent. It is an advantage if you have several years of experience as a controller and/or qualified financial work. We also expect you to have good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel.
Your personal qualities are important to us. We believe you are analytical, structured, and can express yourself well in speech and writing, combined with good pedagogical skills. Since the work involves many contacts, it is important that you are outgoing, positive, and have the ability to both inspire and build trust.
It is important that you can handle both details and the big picture and that you view the varying tasks positively. We further believe that you are a team player who sees collaboration as a key to success and that you have a drive to develop.
Employment form
Permanent employment with start date according to agreement.
